3. Work Background
1980 - 1982 served as one of the seven honors attorney in the United States
Department of Transportation in Washington, D.C. 1981 served in the counsel to the
Secretary’s office of USDOT under then Secretary Neil Goldschmidt and later in the
counsel to the NHTSA office under then Secretary Joan Claybrooke.
1983 - 1986 associate, then junior partner in the law firm of Bloom, Chaivoe
Marandas, and Sly.
1985 executive assistant to Commissioner Mildred Schwaub and headed a task force
investigation into the Police Bureau's own Internal Investigation Department.
1986 partner in the law firm of Bloom and Spaulding. Primary focus – plaintiff
injury related litigation both at the trial and appellate levels.
1999 - 2004 partner in the law firm of Bloom and Schuckman. Primary focus –
plaintiff injury related litigation both at the trial and appellate levels
